Call for an inspection when dimming becomes more noticeable, affects several rooms, happens with multiple appliances, or comes with breaker trips, burning smells, buzzing, or outlets that feel warm.

An electrician can check the panel, service equipment, grounding, circuit loads, and visible connections to determine whether the issue is a small repair or a sign that the home needs more electrical capacity. Getting a clear answer is better than trying to diagnose electrical behavior from the light switch.
